A master sign plan is a dynamic long-term program that lays out the guidelines for the present and future implementation of signage within a city, campus, or mixed-use environment.

Shaping the growth of a place

Master signage programs play a vital role in determining the comfortable use of the urban environment and typically engage a multitude of uses, from retail, entertainment, residential, and hospitality, to parks, recreation, and education. The team at RSM Design has created large-scaled sign programs for master plans, from educational or corporate campuses to entire cities, throughout the history of the studio.

Our studio’s process starts with a deep analysis of all of the uses within a space, followed by strategic implementation of wayfinding signage at the vehicular and pedestrian level to help guide users into and through spaces safely and effectively. Through the use of architectural graphic design and creative placemaking, we are able to create a strong sense of place as well as ensure that visitors confidently reach their destinations.
