New York. New Studio.

April 22, 2025
With studios in San Clemente, Dallas, and Los Angeles, RSM Design has always embraced a spirit of collaboration across borders and time zones. Our team spans 40 people, has worked in over 36 countries and 42 states, and has been shaping meaningful design experiences around the world for 28 years. Now, with four studio locations—and one new address—we’re delighted to announce the opening of our newest studio in New York!
Located in the heart of the Flatiron District, and across the street from Madison Square Park, our New York studio marks a highly anticipated new chapter for RSM Design. With an extensive portfolio of work across the East Coast and a proven track record of 28 years of collaborations around the globe, this expansion allows us to further strengthen our presence in the region while also opening new opportunities for international collaborations. “To expand our project and client opportunities, we wanted to have a physical presence to collaborate better with our clients,” says Harry Mark, FAIA, Executive Director and Principal, who will lead the New York studio. “We feel there is no better way to have good synergy on a project than to be there and to be close to them. Having an RSM team nearby to meet with the clients, walk the site, and meet the team—we believe it’s important.” Working alongside RSM Design co-founders Suzanne Redmond Schwartz and Martin Schwartz, and with an experienced team in place, our New York studio is fully operational—bringing fresh creativity and insight to projects in the Northeast.

RSM Design has long been a creative partner on the East Coast, collaborating on a wide range of projects that bring storytelling and placemaking to life. With the opening of our New York studio, we are excited for this new chapter, allowing us to be geographically closer to many of these project locations, allowing us to deepen relationships, strengthen collaboration, and further immerse ourselves in the communities we serve. This expansion marks an exciting step forward as we continue to shape meaningful design experiences that connect people and place—both here on the East Coast and beyond.
