Overland & Ayres

Overland & Ayres is a new 6-story mixed use residential and commercial building adjacent from One Westside, a former shopping mall turned health research campus, recently purchased by UCLA. Residents of Overland and Ayres will have access to various amenities, as well as panoramic views of westside Los Angeles. The building’s proximity to UCLA’s science and technology research center and surrounding offices will draw people to Overland and Ayres. RSM Design was invited to complete wayfinding signage to both the exterior and interior of the residential building, as well as the adjacent parking structure. The exterior signage uses a heat treatment to achieve an amorphous, opalescent effect, that balances the strength the clarity of steel with an artistic sensibility so prevalent in Los Angeles.
