Atherton Rise

Residences for Innovative Student Entrepreneurs (Rise), is a brand-new student housing facility on-campus at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa campus. It is a unique innovation center with dormitory-style housing for 374 students and an extensive amenity collection to fuel creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship. Beyond housing for students, it also has multiple maker spaces, a recording studio, and classrooms. RSM Design completed branding and logo design for Rise, as well as wayfinding signage throughout the exterior and interior.

RISING ABOVE

Two additional towers are being built off the historic Atherton House, blending traditional with an innovative space developed to give students the tools to push the boundaries of what they think possible. Inspired by the first explorers of Hawai’i who courageously traveled 5,000 miles of open ocean on canoes, this facility provides the tools and support for students to explore their potential, and rise to the occasion.
