Texas Medical Center

Texas Medical Center is a 2-square mile district in south-central Houston which is comprised of over 60 medical institutions, all under the non-profit Texas Medical Center Corporation, which makes it the largest medical complex in the world. The area, which recently underwent a massive expansion, was in need of a fresh update to their site-wide wayfinding and signage.

RSM Design conducted a site analysis to help determine what the Center’s needs were and began by updating the existing pedestrian and vehicular wayfinding signage to provide a more clear sense of direction to new and existing amenities and parking facilities. The team also worked on a number of landmarks to help create a branded sense of arrival to the entire Center, as well as to each of the newly created districts within the site.
