1121 at Symphony Square

At 1121 at Symphony Square, a seven-story office tower within the larger Symphony Square mixed-use development, RSM Design delivered a comprehensive signage and wayfinding program that enhances both function and form. Positioned next to the historic Symphony Square—a collection of 19th-century buildings with a longstanding cultural presence—the office tower brings a contemporary layer to the site’s evolving story. RSM Design’s scope included both exterior and interior signage for the building and parking garage, all unified by a design language of intersecting geometric forms that mirror and elevate the architecture.

GEOMETRY AND MATERIALITY MEET MODERN WORK CULTURE

From the metallic blue elements on the exterior to the warm wood-accented interiors, the signage program creates a sense of continuity and cohesion. These elements not only guide and orient but also enrich the spatial experience, transforming everyday navigation into a thoughtfully designed journey. Through this integrated approach, RSM Design helped establish a visual identity that feels grounded in place while looking distinctly forward.

CRAFTED CONNECTIONS THROUGH FORM AND FINISH

The exterior wayfinding at Symphony Square is defined by intersecting geometric forms that respond directly to the architecture, creating a cohesive visual rhythm across the site. Thoughtful details—like perforated aluminum paneling and faux neon elements—add texture, depth, and a refined material expression that elevates the signage beyond function.

A BRANDED JOURNEY, FROM GARAGE TO OFFICE

RSM Design developed a comprehensive signage system for the parking garage that enhances clarity and ease of navigation across all levels. From specialty parking signage and bold entry graphics to column-mounted level identifiers, pedestrian directionals, and elevator core markers, each element was designed to guide users with confidence and visual consistency.
