RSM Design worked closely with CenterCal Properties to develop a brand strategy and voice for The Waterfront that honors Redondo Beach’s rich history and family friendly beach culture. The spirit of the brand also works to position the property to be one of the most desirable and authentic waterfront experiences in Southern California. RSM was inspired by local history and nostalgia to create a vision and brand fitting for the property.
REVITALIZING A HISTORIC PIER
From the beginning days in the late 1800s when Pacific Salt Works occupied the space to the grand opening of Tony’s on the Pier in 1952, generations of Redondo residents and businesses have built an extraordinary beach-side legacy defined by vibrant culture and the unbreakable bond of community. The vision for the waterfront revitalization has always been motivated by a keen idea – to reawaken this remarkable legacy and celebrate Redondo’s heritage.
With a brand new perspective on a mixed-use work, live, shop, and play type of environment, this dynamic destination offers a unique stage for retailers, restaurateurs, and brands seeking to present themselves and connect with consumers in an exciting and modern showcase. Inspired by location, rich history, and diversity, The Waterfront at Redondo Beach is set to become an enjoyable destination and a mecca for specialty shopping. The marketplace will feature artisan goods and fresh seafood, a contemporary boutique hotel, and waterfront commercial space for businesses and brands. It will become a space for both residents and locals to connect to the city’s rich history and unique waterfront culture.
