Cotton Bowl Stadium

The Cotton Bowl Stadium, located in the heart of Fair Park in Dallas, is deeply rooted in the history of North Texas. Opened in 1930 as Fair Park Stadium, the venue originally hosted the SMU Mustangs football team for nearly 45,000 spectators. Today, after several rounds of renovations over the years, it boasts a capacity of 90,000+, hosting a variety of concerts and sporting events. Most notably, the Cotton Bowl hosts the Red River Showdown every fall during the State Fair of Texas. The Cotton Bowl is at the center of entertainment in Dallas, holding memories for millions of people each year. RSM Design worked hand in hand with the architecture team, navigating the historical art deco architecture, while contemporizing the venue to meet the the demands of sports and entertainment.
