The Orchard stained-glass style flower logo-mark and logo

Westminster, Colorado

The Orchard Branding

In the early part of the last century, the town of Westminster, northwest of Denver, CO, grew to become the center of some of the largest apple orchards in the country. This legacy was the inspiration behind the specialty graphic ornamentation throughout this exterior lifestyle development. RSM Design worked very closely with four different architectural firms and the lighting and landscape designers to integrate specialty graphics patterns and ornamentation into many of the buildings and the site to add to the authenticity of the prairie style architecture used throughout.

Client

  • Forest City Enterprises

Patterns inspired by the orchards and the changing seasons were seamlessly integrated in such items as etched glass graphics, cast stone cornices, decorative wall relief panels, and ornamental façade metal work, to name a few. The team at RSM was also very proud to lead the effort and the successful integration of numerous community art pieces specifically commissioned from local artisans to fit within the project’s established graphics branding.
