Associate Principal

Andrea is an Arizona desert native who enjoys being outdoors in nature and concocting homemade jams, chile con carne and tortillas. She has a degree in Humanities and a strong intellectual interest in human behavior and experience in the built environment. Andrea leads RSM Design’s Health & Wellness and Life Science Practice, focused on creating transformative and holistically human centered experiences. Additionally, she leads higher education, civic, workplace and mixed-use projects. As a leader, Andrea takes great care to foster a collaborative and participatory design process. Her vast portfolio demonstrates a strong expertise in wayfinding master planning and strategy-research based work. She is passionate about bringing systems based thinking to planning and design solutions that emphasize a comprehensive and multi-disciplinary approach. Through the creation of a defined methodology, she leads user testing and prototyping efforts to deliver evidence based data that supports a clients’ ROI.

Andrea is known for her empathy, authenticity, patience, listening skills and ability to facilitate consensus across large and diverse groups of stakeholders. Andrea has over 20 years of experience working with clients such as Kaiser Permanente, Dignity Health, and UCLA Health in addition to many community based health systems and clinics.
