City of Southlake

In 2008 the City of Southlake, Texas was named the Forbes.com most affluent neighborhood in the United States. As the city continues to grow, the city leaders recognized the need for an effective vehicular wayfinding design initiative to guide both visitors and residents alike to the numerous city amenities and destinations.
RSM Design worked with The City of Southlake to develop wayfinding signage around the city. Civic Design. Branding and Logo Design.

RSM was selected to work with the city leaders to design a unique family of signs for the wayfinding signage, emphasizing Southlake as a destination in the DFW metroplex and reinforcing the heritage-based designs set forth in the community master plan. The team also worked with TxDOT officials to create signs that met stringent vehicular safety initiatives, along with creating a unique sense of community that added to the established brand of Southlake.

With the use of classic materials, complementary type, and timeless graphics and patterns, RSM developed a system that sets Southlake apart from other towns. By pulling from the town's history and richness, RSM Design created a unique sense of community. A look and feel was established that added to the existing brand of this city, perfectly fitted for the residents of Southlake.
